Ambleside is a charming village that encompasses a seven-block stretch of waterfront in the District of West Vancouver. The appealing neighbourhood is anchored at one end by the spectacular Ambleside Park; a sprawling stretch of sandy beach and playing fiends, off-leash dog area, skate park and playground that draws visitors from around the Lower Mainland and beyond. The Centennial Seawalk, a ribbon of pathway that lines the water's edge, is perfect for a stroll any time of day, but many also choose to browse the eclectic collection of shops and boutiques that line Marine Drive and Bellevue Avenue. Then the strolling is done, there are plenty of opportunities to rest and refuel at cafes, bakeries and restaurants, or visitors can get it to go, then grab a patch of grass near the giant floral clock at the foot of 15th Street and watch cruise ships glide by on their way to Alaska.
